RUN FOR MUM fundraising for National Breast Cancer Research Institute
Today is a difficult one. I lost Helen, my mum, on a day like today. Writing this will be hard for me as there’s been a lot of drafts, but if you know me, just read it in my voice, it’ll make sense, I promise xx But with this difficulty, there’s something bright and loving to share with you. I’ve been working on my grief over these several months, coming to terms with and accepting the loss. It’s a difficult thing for anyone who has to go through this. I spent so long avoiding it in its entirety because, in all honesty, I didn't know how to face it! But since speaking and talking with loved ones and a few special people in my life, I’m feeling so much better and happier for it. It's actually normal to cry x Moving on now, I am meeting so many people incredible people and doing so much work that I am actually heading in the direction Ive always wanted to do and Ifinally made my first short film !!!!!! and I’m so glad I was able to do it and get that weight off my chest.(Thank you to all that helped that reading this, I will return those favors to you xxx) I want to now put yet another silly challenge in front of me, and what better feat than a marathon, and best of yet, since acquiring Irish citizenship through my wonderful mum, I’m going to run the ☘️Dublin☘️ marathon!!! Importantly, I’ll be doing it for a charity I want to support over 🇮🇪 The National Breast Cancer Research Institute is an Irish charity funding life-changing breast cancer research at the University of Galway. Their work helps improve early diagnosis, develop better treatments, and improve outcomes for breast cancer patients and families across Ireland and beyond. Link to Donation = I LOVE MUM. I also miss mum. I also love your mum and your sister, aunty, grandma, daughter, girlfriend, wife & great grandma. Love you all ❤️❤️❤️ ☘️❤️
