Feargal Mooney fundraising for Cancer Trials Ireland CLG in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2024
I’m doing the marathon this Sunday (walking!) to raise funds for Cancer Trials Ireland. I’m not a runner, but I started to think about this over the summer. With 2 days to go, I’ve finally made the decision. It won’t be fast; I might not even make it across the finish line. But I’ve got a stubborn streak that doesn’t give up easily, so while it’ll be slow and miserable, I think I’ll get to the finish in about 6 hours. I’m walking to raise funds for Cancer Trials Ireland. Like many of you, I’ve lost extended family and a couple of good friends to cancer in the last few years. Some of you might not be in a position to make a big donation, but please consider €10 and a thumbs up (even anonymously) to let me know you’re backing me. Others may be responsible for a large CSR budget, so here’s your chance! I know that everybody has been impacted in some way by cancer, and the more trials that are carried out, the more we learn about treatments and cures. Any support will be much appreciated.
