Eben Stewart fundraising for Parkinson's Ireland in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
I am running the Dublin marathon in October 2026 and some interim events before. My wife, Sandrine was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2017. A difficult diagnosis in itself. With the help of Parkinson's Ireland and their many supportive interventions, Sandrine began to come to terms with the challenges of fluctuating symptoms, medication schedule and dietary constraints. Around 2020 it became clear that Sandrine's general cognition was affected. She was then diagnosed with Parkinson's disease dementia or Lewy body dementia. She is now being cared for by the wonderful staff in Bloomfield Hospital. 1/2/26 is the start of my training regime with the ultimate aim of completing the Dublin City Marathon. I am asking you to donate what you can to my fundraiser for Parkinson's Ireland. There are approx 18,000 people in Ireland with the disease. The charity provided us with much needed support during a time when we most needed it. Every donation will go some way to help them continue their fantastic work. Thank you so much
