Eileen Reeves 50th Marathon fundraising for Cliona's Foundation
I am running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon on Sunday October 25th and it will be my 50th Marathon ! I am marking this marathon milestone by running for Limerick based but National Charity Cliona's Foundation and raising as much funds as possible along with increasing awareness Cliona's was one of the 1st charities I volunteered for many years ago and I recently was made aware of the support they provide and the impact it makes for families with a seriously sick child or chronic complex care needs I am running for families that are on a difficult journey with their child and struggling financially with the significant additional non medical costs of being with them while in hospital or at home. 26.2 miles. That’s the distance between comfort and courage, between an ordinary day and a moment that could truly change lives. Every mile I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line; it’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. Your support — any amount of a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Together, we can take every step a little further. Every mile matters. Every gesture helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
