David Speakman fundraising for Family Carers Ireland in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This October, I'll be running the Dublin Marathon in support of Family Carers Ireland. My Dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 20 years ago. In the years since, our family has learned first-hand what difference having the right support can make. Family, friends, and wonderful professional carers have all played a part in helping Dad live well. Family Carers Ireland support the 500,000+ family and young carers across Ireland who are quietly and often invisibly doing extraordinary things every day — caring for loved ones with disabilities, chronic illness, palliative needs, and so much more. Their belief is simple: no one should have to care alone. If you can spare anything at all, it would mean the world.
