Daniel Madden fundraising for Children's Grief Centre in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025

As a youth I experienced the loss of immediate family members and I know the challenge of dealing with grief only too well. As a young person you have to take on the burden of that grief without having developed the coping mechanisms and emotional tools to really take on that challenge. With that in mind, the Children's Grief Centre was an easy choice to support in my next Dublin Marathon. In order to fully commit to the experience I will be running the marathon in a weighted vest with a goal time of 3:30. For every minute off that time I will donate 1% of the total raised. Asssuming that this doesn't go viral and end up with me going bankrupt. So if you want to support a worthy cause or you want to cost me some money, please give as generously as you can. I appreciate your support.

About Children's Grief Centre

The Children's Grief Centre was founded in 2009. Since then we have been providing one-to-one support sessions to children and young people who have experienced a loss due to death, parental separation or divorce. We support children through the grieving process and assist them in learning to live with their grief and loss. To date the centre has provided support to over 3,000 children, young people and their families. We also provide talks and workshops to the local and wider community to raise awareness of childhood loss and to support communities who are affected.
