Danny Kenny fundraising for Breakthrough Cancer Research in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
Hi Everyone, This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 — for something bigger than myself. In late September 2025, I sadly lost my Dad after his courageous battle with an aggressive form of esophageal cancer. I’m taking on this marathon in his memory — to honour the strength, courage and love he showed throughout his fight. With every step I take, I’ll be carrying his memory with me and imagining him by my side. I want to use this challenge to raise awareness of oesophageal cancer, raise vital funds to help support those affected by cancer, and hopefully make a difference to people and families who are going through what my family experienced. Anyone that knows me, will know running isn’t my strong point so this marathon will be challenging on both emotional and personal level, but knowing I’m doing it in my Dad’s memory will help give me the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say and greatly appreciated. Every mile matters. Every gesture helps. Thank you, Danny
