Ben, Conor, & Nathan fundraising for Irish Cancer Society

This year, we are running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon for a cause close to our hearts - The Irish Cancer Society. Every day, the Irish Cancer Society provides vital support to individuals and families affected by cancer across Ireland. Their work makes a real difference during some of life’s most challenging moments. Cancer touches so many families, friends, and communities, and many of us know someone who has been impacted by it. We are undertaking this fundraiser in honour of Tom Lynch and Eoin O’Dwyer, and in recognition of the impact cancer has had on our families and countless others. Through this fundraiser, we’re hoping to do something small to help the Irish Cancer Society continue the incredible work they do every day. Any support, no matter the size, will help them keep providing care, hope, and assistance to those who need it most.

Cancer is the most common cause of death in Ireland with more than 9,000 people dying each year. That's almost 25 people dying from cancer every day across Ireland. An average of 1 person every hour. However, thanks to earlier detection, improved care and targeted treatments, more people are surviving cancer than ever before. Today, there are 200,000 cancer survivors in Ireland. The Irish Cancer Society are working towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world class treatment and support. Typically receiving only 5% of income from the Government, your support helps provide key services to ensure no one has to face cancer alone and funds vital cancer research with over €30 million invested since 2010.
