Ciara Oliver in Memory of Greig Oliver fundraising for Children's Grief Centre in Regeneron Great Limerick Run 2024
This charity hits close to home as my family and I are coping with grief after my Dad, Greig, tragically passed away in an accident in July 2023. He loved running, keeping fit, rugby and helping others achieve their true potential. I am doing this half marathon in memory of my Dad as one of our favourite pastimes was to go running together. All donations are going to Children’s Grief Centre. They are an invaluable resource for children who need extra support at a difficult time in their lives. About Children's Grief Centre
The Children's Grief Centre was founded in 2009. Since then we have been providing one-to-one support sessions to children and young people who have experienced a loss due to death, parental separation or divorce.
We support children through the grieving process and assist them in learning to live with their grief and loss.
To date the centre has provided support to over 3,000 children, young people and their families.
We also provide talks and workshops to the local and wider community to raise awareness of childhood loss and to support communities who are affected.
