Fundraising Page of Colin O'Leary
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I am running the Dublin City Marathon 2024 for the Irish Kidney Association in memory of my Mother-in-Law Catherine Moloney. Catherine had Polycystic kidney disease and was on Dialysis in CUH for the last 8 years of her life. As this is a hereditary condition my wife Susan also has PKD. Susan is navigating her way through the illness with the aid of the IKA who offer a range of support services. The most recent one being "The Living Well Program" which was a 6 week course educating on living with the illness. It was an excellent course and connected Susan to a number of people in similar situation to herself.
This is why I chose to raise funds for the IKA to keep services like this going. Catherine always encouraged me to run for the IKA as it was very close to her heart and I am glad to do this in her memory.
