Running in memory of my Dad, Michael Fitzpatrick fundraising for Irish Road Victims Association
This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 in memory of my Dad who tragically passed away due to a road traffic accident in 2019. I miss my dad every day, and this is a charity I truly believe can make a real difference in people’s lives. My dad believed that if you set your mind to something, you can achieve it. I’ll carry that belief with me and think of him every step of the way during this marathon. I will be running 26.2 miles for the Irish Road Victim Association. That’s the distance between comfort and courage, between an ordinary day and a moment that could truly change lives. Every mile I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line; it’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. I think of my Dad everyday and I know he will be with me on this journey to.
