On September 20th, I’ll be taking on the Dublin Half Marathon to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease Ireland. MND is a cruel and progressive condition. My family knows its impact all too well. We lost my aunty Jean to MND, and my aunty Siobhán is currently facing the same battle. I’m running for them — and for every family affected. MND Ireland provides essential services, equipment, home support, and guidance to people living with MND. Your donation helps ensure no family faces this journey alone. Thank you for supporting this cause and helping me honour Jean and Siobhán.

About Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in the country providing specialised services to families affected by Motor Neurone Disease. We offer consistent support to approximately 470 families across Ireland who otherwise would have nowhere else to turn. Everybody with MND has different needs at different stages of their journey and we are here to help and guide them every step of the way. The services provided by the IMNDA are immediate and free of charge for everyone registered with the Association. Key services include: • Access to 7 outreach nurses directly employed by the IMNDA and funded entirely by donations. • Access to a home care grant. • Access to specialised equipment on loan (e.g. wheelchairs, hoists, communication aids etc). • Access to funding towards counselling sessions for the person with MND and family members. Your support is absolutely vital. More than 85% of our income comes from fundraising and donations.
