Brendan Egan fundraising for Down Syndrome Centre - Dublin in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This year I'm running the Dublin City Marathon to raise funds for the Down Syndrome Centre. The centre offers vital services to children like my son Leo who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome when he was born in December 2025. Early intervention therapies like physio, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy are vital for people born with Down Syndrome to reach their full potential. Unfortunately like a lot of children in Ireland Leo has been waitlisted with the Children's Disability Network Team. The only therapies he has received so far have come from the Down Syndrome Centre. As a parent I'm so grateful that this centre exists to help families like mine. I'm delighted to be able to take part in the Dublin City Marathon to raise funds for such an amazing much needed service.
