Alex O Shea fundraising for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind with The 150 Club

Can lightning strike twice in 2014, aged 40, I stood on the start line of the Cork City Marathon wearing my fire kit for my very first marathon. I wasn’t just there to finish—I wanted to break the Guinness World Record & ran 3:41:10, I smashed the record and raised vital funds for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. That day earned me the nickname “The Running Fireman.” 2027 is the 150th anniversary of Cork fire brigade & aged 53 I will be back on the start line full fire kit wearing & using a fully enclosed breathing apparatus it's going to take things to a whole new level. I have taken on extreme temperature challenges before ranging from -37.c Arctic to 35.c sun in Greece but nothing like this... As it's the 150th anniversary of Cork fire brigade I am also creating an exclusive 150 club to run Cork marathon and avail of a watts app group guest mentoring spot prizes meet ups etc I’d love you to join me and we can support guide dogs and each other on this journey. WWW.Therunningfireman.ie If you can, please support by spreading the word or by donating to my fundraising page for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference. Thanks Alex
