Aimee H Stephens fundraising for The Rotunda Foundation in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 for the Journey Initiative in the Rotunda Hospital. The Initiative supports Mothers, Fathers and families who have received a diagnosis of fatal or life limiting fetal anomaly. I am doing this to honour and remember our second baby Caolan who sadly was diagnosed with Trisomy 13, Patau Syndrome and is a fatal fetal abnormality. I love him and I wish he was here. The staff in the hospital were extremely kind, understanding and supportive during this very difficult time. Jane (CMS) in fetal assessment started the journey Initiative to offer a holistic approach to comfort parents coping with this type of loss by providing beautiful care packages to make memories and provide aftercare and support in future pregnancies. My bunnies are now one of my most prized possessions. Taking on the marathon will be my greatest physical challenge other than birthing my beautiful boys. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Together, we can take every step a little further. Every gesture helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💙
