Story

The event will take place this year on July 11th and will be our 6th annual event in aid of FSN. In year one we raised €13,560, year two €17,526, year three €24,800, year four €30,450 and last year we raised €31,885 for the charity.
This year, we're setting a target to raise €35,000 and to raise awareness for a much-needed charity in our community.
Date; Saturday, July 11th, 2026
The event starts at FITT Gym in Finglas Village and finishes in the Summit car park. (The full route will be emailed to all participants one week before the event).
Participants can walk or run the 21.1km route Finglas Village to Howth Summit.
Walkers start at 8.30am.
Runners start at 10.30am.
All profits from the event go to the Finglas Suicide Prevention Network charity.
Finglas Suicide Prevention Network is based in Mellows Court Finglas West. FSN is a non-governmental support network that delivers affordable counselling for the price of a small donation. FSN focuses on improving the mental well-being of the community, with a particular emphasis on supporting people at risk of suicide. FSN seeks to raise awareness around suicide prevention by offering positive life skills alternatives, so suicide is not used as a definitive solution for resolvable life’s difficulties. This is an essential and much needed service within our community given the significantly high rate of suicide in the Finglas area.
Unfortunately, not everyone gets to choose the challenges they face but hopefully by us completing this one challenge it can help someone with theirs.
Let’s show we can get through challenges together while raising awareness and much needed funds for a great voluntary organisation.
