Griffith Avenue Mile 2025
The one mile road race of the year. For participants of all ages and abilities
The Griffith Avenue Mile is an annual one mile road race on Marino's Griffith Avenue which is being held on Sunday September 21st 2025. This year will be the fourth time the race has been run since the original race in 1983.
This year there will be two separate races:
- *A Chip Timed race
- A Family fun run/walk race
Please note which race you are entering when completing your registration as Family fun run/walk entries are not permitted to take part in the Chip Timed Race
* ELITE CATEGORY: This years Griffith Avenue Mile race will include an Elite category for runners aiming for a sub 4:20 min finish (senior men) and sub 5:05 min finish (senior women). To enter this category, participants need to provide proof of qualifying time by emailing info@griffithavenuemile.ie . Sub 4:10 men and 4:50 women for 1500 also accepted. Elite category entry will be confirmed by email
There will also be a competitive wheelchair race pending sufficient interest. Please contact us to express interest before purchasing a ticket at info@griffithavenuemile.ie
We have a range of ticket types available to support wide participation. Tickets are limited and are very likely sell out so secure yours today.
- Chip Timed Entry: Adult and Juvenile (13+ on race day) race categories
- Family Fun Mile - Run/Walk (NOT TIMED) – This entry is for 2 adults and 2 children. Family entries are not chip timed. Children are classified as aged 18 or under on race day.
- Individual Entry (NOT TIMED) - Choose this for individual entries - either adults or children. We have introduced a discounted seniors ticket type this year and very much welcome all seniors who would like to run, jog, walk or saunter
