Event Description:

Ireland Active is offering Children First Safeguarding Course – DLP Training for the leisure and fitness industry. This course is approved by Tusla. The course is suitable for all Managers and Designated Liaison Persons.

This course is delivered online via Zoom by a trained Ireland Active Child Welfare Tutor.

COURSE AIM
This course educates participants on the implementation of best practice in their role as Designated Liaison Person within the leisure, health & fitness industry.

CONTENTS
The course is a mix of theory and group work.

On completion of the course, the following areas will be discussed.
(a) Be aware of the role and responsibilities of the Designated Liaison Person in relation to protecting and safeguarding children.
(b) Be aware of their organisation’s responsibilities in relation to keeping children safe.
(c) Gain appropriate knowledge of the child protection system and its processes.
(d) Knowledge of organisations policies and procedures in line with Children First.

TARGET GROUP

This is a mandatory course for any person responsible for managing staff and who has been appointed as the Designated Liaison Person in their organisation.

Course Cost:

€20 per person per course, for members of Ireland Active.
