Bob Heffernan & Mary Hanley 5k Road Race

The popular Bob Heffernan & Mary Hanley 5k Road Race is back for 2022. This will also be the third round of the 2022 Kia Race Series

**ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES 10AM 60 6/5. ON THE DAY EGUSTRATION FROM 6:30PM - 7:30PM ON THE NIGHT. **

The Bob Heffernan 5k road race has been dedicated to the memory of Bob Heffernan, who was with Na Fianna AC from it's start.  This year the race will also be dedicated to Mary Hanley.  Like Bob, Mary had been a member of Na Fianna AC from it's beginnings up until her untimely death last September.  She was an amazing athlete and her exploits at cross country, on the track and road were well known throughout the county, surrounding counties and indeed the wider athletic communities.  Mary being a competitive person thoroughly embraced and enjoyed the road race scene in particular Bob's race as it attracts a lot of high quality club runners. 

The course is fast and flat which is ideal for fun runners too.  It finishes at the Hamlet Court Hotel where post race chat, prize giving and refreshments take place.
