Caltra Marathon 2020

Come join our first ever Marathon, in Caltra Co Galway. Hosted by Caltra & District Athletics Club. This is a relatively flat course, which is perfect for season marathon runners to get a new PB or newcomers to Marathon runs. We have limited places available, no more than 80 athletics taking part. Join quickly before it’s all filled up…. this is a timed event and these will be posted on our Facebook and Webpage no later than 48hrs after the event.

The course starts 2km up the Castleblakney road from Caltra. Runners will come back in through Caltra Village and continue on the road towards Ahascragh after Caltra Community Centre. . After approx. 1.5 miles, the course turns left and travels towards Latoon. After approx. 2 miles,  the course turns left heading back to Breada, and after a further mile takes a turn left and on to Caltra where it turns left again towards Ahascragh and this loop is repeated another 3 times before finishing at Caltra Community Centre.
