Event Description:
Island Wheelers welcomes everyone to our 2026 P.J. Logan Cup, Hugo Loughran GP & Eddie Polin Memorial Race. We are very proud to be hosting this National Grade Race which is Round 6 and the first in Ulster. These races bring a host of benefits such as:
There will be 3 x separate races on the day. C1, C2 & C3
*Juniors will have the option to race up a category if they choose.
Race HQ is Terex Dungannon, 200 Coalisland Road, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone BT71 4DR. Parking, toilets and refreshments onsite. *Changing rooms are available. Parking & sign-on will be open from 8.00am. You must sign-on!! & Collect your Timing chip.
The race finish is once again on our famous figure of 8 circuit (3.5km away from HQ). Riders should not park here in advance. It is for race officials only.
C1 = 102km (9 laps) - P.J. Logan Cup + £500 1st prize
C2 = 74km (6 laps) – Hugo Loughran GP + £150 1st prize
C3 = 53km (4 laps) – Eddie Polin Memorial Cup + £100 1st prize
1st race off at 9.30am, with approximately 1 minute between C2 & C3 race as they depart Race HQ. Races are neutralised for 2km, until reaching Bush crossroads. Race on from this point.
C1 race off at 1pm Race will be neutralised for 2km, until reaching Bush crossroads. Race on from this point.
COURSE INFORMATION
Prizegiving for C2/C3 races will happen after both races are completed. Please proceed to the finish line. Everyone is then invited back to HQ to enjoy some refreshments and a chat.
Prizegiving for C1 race will take place at Race HQ after the race has finished.
20 places will receive Cycling Ireland grading points (band 2, starting at 30 points for a win). Separate prizes for the top placings on the day are,
Chip timing for all riders across all 3 races - Everyone will get a result.! Remember...you must collect your chip at sign-on, and You Must return the chip afterwards, or penalties will be applied. Further details on all chip timing aspects to follow. *Provisional results will be live on the Cycling Ireland website immediately.
