Samhain Limerick's Halloween Festival - 23rd October 2025

Samhain celebrates Irish culture with a focus on Limerick heritage and traditions surrounding Hallowe'en; with community involvement, and public participation at its core. Samhain celebrates and showcases the medieval quarter of Limerick City.

Lumen Street Theatre brings ‘Samhain’, Limerick’s Hallowe'en Festival back to the streets of Limerick between October 23rd to 25th. This year’s festival will have staple favourites, and new events in beautiful surroundings. 

Join the Spirits of the Forest  in reclaiming their ancient pathways and habitats, shadowed by a host of Absentee Landlords burdened with keys and tithes, these ghosts of the city’s past prowl the alleyways all the while seeking a bargain or a steal.  

Lumen Street Theatre is a gang of creative makers that produce spectacle and street magic through pageantry and puppetry. Their work is made in the former Bannatyne grain store in the heart of Limerick city, where the space informs new ways of interpreting stories.
