Event Description:

Agivey Cycling Club's MTB/Gravel sportive will take place on Sunday 15th Sept 2024. Set in the Sperrins with a mix of road, fire-roads & open mountain. MTB/Gravel/Ebike welcome


Two Routes: Teacup (~18/19m) & a Mug (~32m). Starts & ends at Glenullin Community Centre at 9 Curraghmore Road, Garvagh BT51 5DS

IMPORTANT TRAFFIC UPDATE
  • Information for those travelling to our event from the south on the A29.
  • Due to extensive roadworks for new windfarms, the Drumbane Road from Swatragh is currently closed to all vehicles. 
  • Your satnav may send you that way when you come into Swatragh as it's a little shorter than the main road (though Google Maps does show it closed at the moment)
  • MAP for alternative route via the main A29 which is only a few minutes of difference.

Open to all aged over 14, however 14 & 15yr olds must be accompanied by an adult entrant.
Register from 8.30am, departing 10.00 am. Marshaled, signposted & hot food

Our event this year will be supporting:

Fort Centre Riding for Disabled Fort Centre, a member of Riding for the Disabled Association, was established in 1978 and offers people with varying degrees of disability an opportunity to take part in riding programmes. The centre is open to all with a proven need and is FREE to use. A dedicated team of volunteers ensure the centre is available for use for 48 weeks a year.

Special Charity Shop Local charity based in Garvagh which provides equipment for families with children who have additional needs.

IMPORTANT!! An event licence costing £12.50  is required by cyclists that do not hold or input a vaild a current Cycling Ireland licence.

ALL RIDERS MUST HAVE A LIGHT FITTED TO REAR OF BIKE

PLEASE NOTE: Parking Issues

Like last year, there is a gathering in another part of the Community Centre & the main car park will be needed as many attendees need close access to the building. Therefore we are asking you to use the areas marked on the map > HERE Marshals will direct on the day.
