2024 Salesian Cycle Challenge ! 40km and 80 km routes in West Limerick. Start time 9.30.
The Salesian Secondary College and its Parents’ Association are organising the Salesian Cycle Challenge as a fundraiser for local charities. Our last four events 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023 have raised over €23,000 thanks to our participants and our generous sponsors! We are organising our fifth annual Salesian Cycle Challenge now. This year we are fundraising for the Butterfly Club in Rathkeale.
Currently the Butterfly Club has 51 children attending monthly. All of the children who attend the club are living in the West Limerick Area. The club is a voluntary run organisation with two objectives: to offer respite to the families of special needs children, and secondly to offer a social club to these children. The club calendar includes activities like swimming, bowling, music therapy, messy play for children and young adults. One of our staff members is a volunteer there. The Butterfly Club also opens its doors to local charities such as Enable Ireland and also to the local schools for their children with special needs.
The Salesian Cycle is taking place on March 10th, 2024 and comprises a 42km & 80km cycle in the West of Limerick.
