Rare to Real Run – 5K & 10K Road Race

The Rare to Real Run is a special one-time event in support of the Irish Cancer Society and Breakthrough Cancer Research.

This event has a deeply personal meaning. Rare to Real was founded by Gavin Reilly following his cancer diagnosis and subsequent journey through treatment and recovery. What began as a challenging and uncertain time has evolved into a positive initiative. Bringing people together, raising awareness, and supporting vital cancer research and services.

Participants of all abilities are welcome, whether you are running competitively, supporting the cause, or simply taking part in a community event.

Race Details

• 5K and 10K AAI-measured routes

• Start and finish at Rathcoffey GAA

• Course takes place on the roads around Rathcoffey

Race Information

• Limited T-shirts available on the day; participants are advised to arrive early to secure one

• All participants will receive a finisher’s medal

• Bag drop area available

• Parking available at Rathcoffey GAA as-well as toilet facilities.

Post-Race Refreshments

Refreshments will be available in the hall, including sandwiches, tea and coffee.
