HER Outdoors Week - Cyclocross Experience

Navan Road Club are pleased to host a Cyclocross experience event, for the upcoming HER Outdoors sports week

This will take place on Monday the 12th August 2024, 6pm-8pm, in Blackwater Park, Navan. The location of the park is here:

This event is aimed for women who are interested in riding their bikes in grassy fields, and trying out the cycling discipline that is Cyclocross. 

Cyclocross is discipline of cycling that takes place in fields, sand and grassy areas. It takes place entirely in one location, so there is no interaction with the public road. In recent years it has grown, and in the last few years Dublin has been privilaged to host a cyclocross race with the best riders coming to try out their skills on the course that is located in the Sports Campus in Dublin.

Cyclocross Explained

This event will help you to ride your bike amongst grass, and some rougher ground, balance, bike mounting and dis-mounting skills, and most importantly, how to enjoy it all.

BIKES AND HELMETS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE BIKES OR THINK THAT THEIR BIKE MAY NOT BE SUITABLE.

This event is free, but pre-registation is required, and this event is open to girls and women of all ages.
