Tour de Burren 2025

The Tour de Burren 2025, a highlight of the Irish cycling calendar, returns to Barefield, Co. Clare on Saturday, 21st June 2025.

Located conveniently near Junction 14 on the M18 motorway, Barefield offers seamless access to the event, with participants encouraged to stay in nearby Ennis or make use of the camping area at Hassett's Field, Barefield.

The 2025 edition promises to build on last year’s success, offering three stunning routes through the Burren’s iconic landscape, ranging from 80km to 160km, with new scenery and fresh challenges in store.  

As always, we promise breathtaking views, top-quality refreshment stops, and the renowned Clare welcome for all cyclists. 

Ticket Price:

• 160KM: €60
• 120KM: €50
• 80KM: €40

All routes are subject to change. Final routes will be published on the website during the week of the event.

Friday Evening Shakeout Ride – 40km Tour of Mullaghmore & Father Ted’s

Join Burren Cycling Club for a relaxed and scenic 40km "Shakeout Ride" on Friday 20th June at 7:00pm, starting from Barefield. This gentle spin is the perfect way to loosen the legs, test your equipment, and meet fellow riders ahead of the Tour de Burren.

We’ll take in some of the region’s most iconic landmarks, including Father Ted’s House and the stunning Mullaghmore in the heart of the Burren National Park.

• Free of charge

• Limited to 30 registered riders

• Adults only – e-bikes welcome

• Hosted by Burren Cycling Club as a club invitational ride

• Subject to weather conditions

If you’re travelling from afar for early registration on Friday evening, this ride is a great way to shake out any nerves and prepare for event day – all while enjoying the company of new and familiar faces.
