The Bob Burke 4 mile Road Race 2026

The Bob Burke 4 mile race and the 1 mile juvenile race will be held on Friday 17th of July at 7.30pm for the mile race and 8pm for the 4 mile race.

Online registrations are open from 29th of May to 17th of July at 4 pm. Minimum age for participation in 4 mile is 16 on the day of the race. Children must be born between 2010 and 2019 to take part in the mile race.

The timing will be done by POPUP RACES.

Race numbers can be collected on the evening of the race from 6pm onwards at our HQ which is Grange National School: Eircode P61K240

Parking will be opposite the school.

The race is run on a one lap loop course, starting 200m from Grange NS, the runners will head towards the main R512 road, turning left at school and right straight away after. After mile 1, at Ballyarthur Cross, they will turn left, pass mile 2 and turn left again at the next cross, Ballinahown Cross. After mile 3 they will turn left at Labbacallee T Junction and will head back to the school on the R512. The finish line will be outside the school.

Prizes for 4 mile are as follows:

First 3 male and female

First wheelchair male and female

First visual impaired male and female

First 2 junior male and female: U20

First 2 in each age category, male and female: 35/40/45/50/55/60/65/70/75/80

The male winner of the race will receive the Bob Burke Perpetual Cup and the female winner will receive the Ray O’Sullivan Perpetual Cup.

Prizes for juvenile 1 mile race are as follows: medals for all and prizes for first 3 boys and first 3 girls.
