Cork Sports Partnership and Ballinacarriga & Lisblead Community Association are delighted to host a fitsticks walk for the European Week of Sport 2026

Details:

  • Saturday September 26th
  • 11am to 12:30pm
  • FREE Fitsticks/Activator walking pole walk
  • Light Refreshments 

The Castle fitsticks trail will encourage community walking on a gentle, safe and peacful route around the community sports facilites. The trail has information boards encouraging suitable warm-up exercises and along the route markers will encourage different gentle exercises. The use of the trail and exercise markers can be further enhanced by using walking sticks or activator poles.

The route is 1km in length and is perfect for recreational walkers especially older adults.
