Operation Transformation Nationwide Walks 2022

As part of Operation Transformation 2022 there will be a number of community walks and a virtual campaign in Cork as part of the nationwide walk campaign starting on Sunday January 16th:

1. Youghal- Youghal Boardwalk
2. Trail Walk (Long Strand Castlefreke)
3. Trail Walk (Canon Sheehan Loop, North Cork)
4. Skibbereen Community Walks
5. 5k Thru the Day Virtual Campaign

The nationwide walks campaign has been a huge success over the last number of years and gives people a great kickstart to the new year. The show is not only about the 5 lucky Leaders selected each year, but for the thousands of people who follow their progress over the 8 weeks and beyond and the various communities who get involved in the process highlighting positive lifestyle changes to fitness and health amongst their community.

The 5K Thru the Day virtual campaign will also return for 2022 and will encourage people to get active through walking each day from Jan 16th - Feb 20th. The idea is to reach 5k or 6500 steps your way each day throughout the campaign! 

Please Note: All walks are open to the public but capacity is limited on some. Families are welcome on both the Youghal and Virtual Challenge. The other events are adult only.
