| Event description: Cuchulainn cycling club proudly presents the 2023 Leinster road race championship and Traders cup, The race takes place on the 27th of August 2023 @ 9:00. The event HQ is at DKIT sports, Inner Relief Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth, A91 XDT8. Riders will roll out (Neutralised) to the start line approx. 5km. The race is on the "Dromin" circuit (Same circuit used in 2021 & 2022, Strava routes below) It's a challenging route that has it all! rolling roads, pan flat smooth tarmac, small climb up Dromin and a technical descent. (It's been described as an "Honest riders circuit") For those brave enough to make a move on the last climb, a 3km descent awaits, through two small roundabouts 1km out. The road opens out to 12 meters wide and pitches up slightly, levelling off 200meters out, which makes for a great finish. License holders satisfying one of the following criteria: (a) Belonging to a club / team based in the Province; (b) Unattached and resident in the Province; (c) Residency in the Province; (d) Belonging to a club / team based outside Ireland but, 1) Immediate past address was in the Province or 2) Most previous Irish club / team was based in the Province.
