St. Ibar’s/Shelmaliers 6km 2026

St. Ibar's/Shelmaliers Camogie Club are delighted and excited to present our Annual 6k Run/Walk, on Sunday 18th October, 2026 at 10am.

Each year we collaborate with a selected charity and this year we welcome the Dillon Quirke Foundation.

This Year's Run "A Race for Grace" is very special to our club. On Saturday 30th May 2026 we woke to the awful news of Grace's passing. Grace was a cherished member of our U12 camogie team who simply went to sleep and did not wake. Grace was known for her huge spirit and her infectious smile. Grace's memory will be forever in our hearts as she now sleeps with the angels.

In conjunction with Grace's family we have decided that our chosen charity this year will be the Dillon Quirke Foundation.

The Dillon Quirke Foundation's mission is to protect young athletes and their families from the devastation of SADS.

The Foundation's aim is to raise awareness and reduce the number of young people dying from SADS through a national cardiac screening programme.

Proceeds will go towards supporting St Ibar's/Shelmalier Camogie Club and the Dillon Quirke Foundation screening programme.

Chipped timing, spot prizes galore, prizes for the 1st and 2nd Male/Female.

Refreshments available for all afterwards.
