This is one of the biggest races in the southeast of Ireland and fast times are assured. What makes this race special? Perhaps it's our generous "goody bag" containing the now famous dri-fit Nike top, the great course, good value, support along the route, first big race of the Spring? Who knows but each year it sells out and we are grateful to all our supporters over all the years. We look forward to seeing you all again in the Déise on February 1st.
Charity Option to Donate
Over the last 9 races, we have added an option to donate to a certain charity and to date runners and West Waterford A.C. have donated an unbelievable €36,625 to Dogs for the Disabled, Aoibheens Pick Tie, Cystic Fibrosis, Alzheimers, Concern, Breast Cancer Ireland, Bumbleance, The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and last years charity the Irish Kidney Association.
Our chosen charity this year is the Children's Health Foundation.
Children’s Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres – from funding vital life-saving equipment and providing essential patient and parental supports to making ground-breaking, paediatric research possible.
Children’s Health Foundation is the new name for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation, which came together in January 2019 to become one foundation supporting all Children’s Health Ireland sites to ensure every sick child has the very best chance. The National Children’s Hospital Foundation in Tallaght will soon also join Children’s Health Foundation to become a single, unified family supporting all of Ireland’s sick children.
They are committed to supporting the little patients and families who attend Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly.
We hope that once again you will be generous and support this worthy cause. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
