Thomond Swim 2026
Limerick
This year the Thomond Swim will take place on Saturday 13th June 2026 at 16:30 in Limerick City.
Early Bird Booking 25€ + booking fee.
After Monday May 4th 30€ +booking fee.
The 1800m open water tidal swim starts from the slipway at St Michael’s Rowing Club on Clancy's Strand and proceeds up the River Shannon turning just below Thomond Bridge. Competitors then swim down river past King John’s Castle, the Civic offices, Shannon Rowing Club before finishing back at St Michael’ s Rowing Club. Click on map for swim route.
Swimmers will enter the water fastest first based on the 400m time you submit on the entry form.
