The Hollymount Sportif, which takes place on 22nd August, gives participants the option of a 50k route or a 110k route.Both cycles roll out at 9.30am

Event Description:

The Hollymount Sportif returns on 22nd August with routes to satisfy everyone. The 50k starts in Hollymount and travels to Carnacon and Ballintubber Abbey along rhe shores of Lough Carra. Cyclists wil have an optional stop after 25k for water anf fruit. The route continues from Partry into Ballinrobe and finishes in the Village of Hollymount. The 110k route is a challenging route but promises fantastic scenery with the route travelling along Lough Carra, Lough Mask, Loch Na Fooey & Lough Corrib. The 110k starts with the 50k route but turns off in Partry and continues to Srah & through Tourmakeady to Maam Trasna for the first climb. After a quick descent cyclists will face into a second climb up Al Duil. Following these two challenging climbs, cyclists will continue to Maam, Cornamona, Clonbur, Ballinrobe and back to the finish in Hollymount. There will be a second water and fruit stop on the route after 75k. Both cycles will roll out of Hollymount at 9.30am
