Big Hoops is a skills-based basketball camp for young players who want to improve their game. It focuses on shooting technique, footwork, offensive & defensive skills, decision-making, 1v1, and basketball IQ.

The camp is located at Maynooth Education Campus Sports Hall, Mariaville, Maynooth, Eircode: W23 X6X8. It has the use of seven full-sized courts, outdoor and indoor. 

The camp is from 8th to 12th August (5 days). It is open to young people aged between 11 and 17 years, divided in to two age ranges:

• morning camp for 11-13 year olds (9am to 12.30pm) 
• afternoon camp for 14-17 year olds (1 to 4.30pm) 
  (Groups will be graded by age and/or ability level.)

The fee is €80 per child (plus admin fee of €5.60), with a discount of €5 for 2nd child or more.

The camp director is Ronan Hobbs, a schools and national league coach. He will have a team of experienced coaches, all with Basketball Ireland qualifications and Garda vetting. 

Numbers are capped and players are allocated to small groups. Players will receive a free camp t-shirt.

The camp is hosted by North Kildare Basketball.
