Building Connections – The Lyon to Ventoux Construction Cycling Challenge

From the city of Lyon, through its soft countryside and rolling valleys, and on to the towering heights of Mont Ventoux, the ‘Lyon to Ventoux’ cycling challenge is designed specifically for professionals in the construction industry.

This unique networking event takes you on a challenge yet rewarding cycle, mirroring the resilience, determination and ambition that defines the world of construction. Ride through some of Frances’s most stunning landscapes where historic architecture stands as a testament to craftsmanship, and villages built over centuries reflect the sill and dedication of builders past and present. Surrounded by charming hamlets, vineyard covered hills, and fields of purple lavender, this cycle is an opportunity to connect with industry peers while experiencing the beauty and inspiration of southeastern France.

Our ‘Lyon to Ventoux’ Challenge is proudly supported by Cycle Against Suicide, a national mental health awareness and suicide prevention charity – CHY 20867. This partnership underscores the event’s deeper purpose: promoting mental wellbeing within the construction industry, where pressures can be high and mental health challenges often go unspoken.

Funds raised through this cycle will directly support Cycle Against Suicide’s vital programmes, bringing mental health education and support into schools, families, communities, and workplaces. By taking part, riders not only challenge themselves physically but also contribute to a movement that fosters resilience, connection, and support for those struggling with mental health difficulties.

Event Details
Dates: Wednesday 24 th Sept 2025 – Sunday 28 th Sept 2025

Route Details:
Immersed in the heart of France’s southeastern wine region, this cycle travels out of Lyon city along the river Izeron onto the Via Rhona into the Rhône Valley, on through the vineyards and lavender fields of La Drôme Provençale countryside before undertaking tour
de Mont Ventoux.

• Day 1 - Wed 24 th Sept:
  Depart from Dublin Airport 6.15am to Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport, arriving at 9.30am
  Cycle Lyon city to Vienne – 70km
• Day 2 - Thurs 25 th Sept:
  Vienne to Montelimar – 163km
• Day 3 - Fri 26 th Sept:
  Montelimar to Carpentras – 100km
• Day 4 - Sat 27 th Sept: Carpentras to Mont Ventoux, with options to cycle around or
  up the Mont, and back to Carpentras
• Day 5 - Sun 28 th Sept: Visit of local area with Vineyard tour and lunch. Depart Marseille Airport at 18.10, arriving Dublin at 19.40

 - Deposit: €200 deposit upon registration.

Participants are most welcome to fundraise the remaining monies. A fundraising link is automatically set up during registration.
