USAC is delighted to welcome Laura Mahony, performance nutritionist and founder of LM Nutrition, for a one-hour seminar on nutrition for runners.
Laura Mahony works as a Performance Nutritionist at the Sport Ireland Institute, where she provides support to Ireland’s elite athletes. She supported a very successful Team Ireland at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Laura’s experience spans a wide range of sports — including athletics, swimming, rowing, and boxing — giving her an insight into the nutritional demands of training for endurance sports.
In this seminar, Laura will share practical, evidence-based strategies to help you fuel smarter, recover faster, and perform at your best.

How to fuel before, during, and after training and events
Recovery strategies to optimise adaptation and reduce injury risk
The role of carbohydrates, protein, and fats in a runner’s diet
How to avoid common mistakes such as under-fuelling and RED-S
