WWAC 'Eurofins' Greenway Half Marathon 2024

This years event takes place on Saturday 31st Aug. at 9am. in  Kilmacthomas.

Entry fee includes bus travel to start point in Kilmacthomas, and a unique Greenway Half Commemorative medal and Tshirt!

Once again we are delighted to have local Dungarvan based company Eurofins as our title sponsor for this unique event and we thank them for their commitment to this race and to our club. 

As all our supporters know we try to raise awareness for important causes and charities with our events and this year the chosen charity we are supporting is called Rapid Response Vehicle. 

Based in Dungarvan, Rapid Response Vehicle West Waterford, aims to enhance emergency medical services in the region, ensuring advanced A+E emergency pre-hospital care is swiftly delivered throughout a very large mostly rural 100 square mile area.

it is their goal to raise sufficient funding to procure and operate a state-of-the-art emergency vehicle with advanced medical facilities. This Rapid Response Vehicle for West Waterford will have the capacity to bring the A+E to the scene of a critical emergency with cutting-edge equipment to facilitate effective medical intervention. All carried out by a volunteer doctor and paramedics, skilled in emergency medicine.

As always we ask your support for this worthy cause that will be a vital asset to the community.

In conjunction with Waterford City and County Council this is a  13.1 mile race along the now famous old Waterford/Dungarvan Railway line. 

This fantastic amenity opened officially in 2017 and has already experienced visitors from all over the country and beyond. Users are amazed by this 47 km spectacular off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan.

RACE LIMIT OF 750 APPLIES.  

Entries close on 25th August or when limit of 750 is reached.

Please note this is a point to point race starting at the Coachhouse Kilmacthomas and finishing near Ballinroad, Dungarvan. Entry fee includes bus from Ballinroad to the start line in Kilmacthomas.
