Tom Kelly 8K

St Brendan’s AC will host the Inaugural Tom Kelly 8K on Sunday 16^th January 2022 in memory of one of St Brendan’s AC founding members, Tom Kelly.

Tom was a coach and club dynamo for the first 10 years and inspired both adults and juveniles with his exemplary labours. His work helped to make St Brendan’s AC the top club in Kerry for 10 years in a row. Tom passed away in 2020 and his family gratefully allowed this run to be promoted in his memory.

Start time 9.30am. Online Registrations only. Entry is €20.

We welcome runners and walkers to take part in this event. Athletics for all is the motto of our club. This event will help the club raise funds to purchase new equipment and also support the club in the training and development of our athletes. 

St Brendan’s AC is a vibrant club in the rural North Kerry area, the club caters for athletes of all ages from juveniles through to masters. The club has a proud history with many club, county and national medals won throughout the years at all age levels. However it’s not all about the medals, it’s also about keeping fit, being healthy, providing a social outlet and encouraging participation. Here is your chance to get involved, start off 2022 as you mean to continue with our inaugural Tom Kelly 8K run.

To compete in the 8k, one has to be aged 15 or older on the day of the race as per Athletics Ireland guidelines. This is a permitted event.

Medals to all finishers on the day. Perpetual cups to 1st female finisher and 1st male finisher.
