2021 Ballycastle CC Annual Sportive

Cycle through the Glens with Ballycastle Cycling Club

Ballycastle Cycling Club host their 6th annual sportive on Saturday 11th September 2021. All funds raised this year will go to Marie Curie.  Marie Curie give care and support to people living with any terminal illness, and their families, bringing light in the darkest hours.

On the day cyclists can choose between two routes (88km and 128km) through the scenic Glens of Antrim and North Coast. Leisure cyclists can enjoy the 88km circuit while the longer 128km loop will offer the more experienced cyclist challenging climbs and fast descents to test their level of fitness. Routes will be fully marshalled with motorbike outrider, broom wagon and first aid support on-site. 

The sportive leaves McQuillan GAC, Páirc MacUílín, 14-18 Whitepark Road, Ballycastle, Co. Antrim, BT54 6HA on Saturday 11th September 2021 at 10am.  Sign-on will be online. Car parking is available on site.  Note that, due to restrictions, there will be no indoor facilities such as changing or shower facilities.

Entry is online-only via Eventmaster.  A strictly limited number of entries are now available - early registration is advised. The entry fee is £20.  All of this entry fee will be donated to Marie Curie.  Online entry incurs an additional transaction fee of £1.20 payable to Eventmaster.

If the event is cancelled for any reason you will receive a refund of the entry fee (£20).  However, we are unable to refund the Eventmaster transaction fee.  If you cannot attend due to Covid isolation requirements please contact us via email if you would like to request a refund.

This is an approved Cycling Ireland event.  Participants who are not members of Cycling Ireland will need to purchase a one-day license for an additional cost of £10.  This is done via the online entry.
