Walk the Camino with Cycle Against Suicide
July 1st - 8th, 2027
Have you ever dreamed of walking the Camino de Santiago? Perhaps 2027 is the year to make it happen!
Join Cycle Against Suicide from July 1st to 8th for a very special Camino experience, walking the final 115km of the famous Camino Francés, from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, while supporting the work of Cycle Against Suicide.
This is an especially wonderful opportunity to walk during the 'Jacobean Holy Year', making the journey to Santiago even more meaningful.
The Camino is about so much more than putting one foot in front of the other. It is about friendship, shared experiences, personal challenges, conversations and the wonderful connections made along the way. It is also an opportunity to take time out, enjoy the beauty of the Galician countryside and reflect on what really matters.
Our planned route:
-
1 July: Fly from Dublin to Santiago de Compostela, with a transfer by bus to Sarria.
-
Stage 1: Sarria to Portomarín – 22km.
-
Stage 2: Portomarín to Palas de Rei – 25km.
-
Stage 3: Palas de Rei to Arzúa – 29km (with the option to break the journey in Melide, approximately halfway).
-
Stage 4: Arzúa to O Pedrouzo – 19km.
-
Stage 5: O Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela – 19km.
-
Stage 6: A day to enjoy Santiago
The walk can be completed over five days, leaving a day to enjoy Santiago, or extended over six days for those who would prefer a more leisurely pace.
And then comes the magical moment – arriving at the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela!
Walk with us. Make memories. Make a difference.
By joining our Camino Walk, you will also be supporting Cycle Against Suicide and our work in mental health education, suicide prevention, supporting young people and adults, and helping people access the support they need.
Whether you are an experienced walker or simply someone who would love to take on a new challenge, we would be delighted to have you join us.
Sometimes the most meaningful journeys are the ones we take together.
Come and walk the Camino with Cycle Against Suicide.
