Women's Intro to Open Water Swim HOW 2026
Monaghan Sports Partnership is delighted to offer an Intro to Open Water Swim for HER Outdoors Week 2026.
Monaghan Sports Partnership is delighted to offer an Introduction to Open Water Swimming Session in association with Swim Ireland.
The session will take place at Lough Major, Ballybay, on Wednesday, 12th August 2026 @7pm.
This session is 45 minutes in duration and is designed to introduce participants to open water swimming in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will learn about open water safety, what to expect when swimming outdoors, and practical tips to help build confidence in the water.
Qualified Swim Ireland coaches and Swim Ireland lifeguards will be on site throughout the session to provide guidance, support, and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Everyone is welcome to come along and learn more about open water swimming while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Lough Major.
