National Eating Disorder Awareness Day Talk with Limerick Mental Health Association Tuesday 20th February in the Common Room, UL Student Life
The 20th of February is National Eating Disorder Awareness day. LMHA will be hosting a series of talks in UL from 10:30-12:00.
Eating disorders are mental health conditions that can affect a person's behaviours around food, eating and exercising as well as their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Listening to other peoples stories on their experiences helps us to better understand our own personal experiences, as well as build support and community for the awareness of eating disorders. We will be joined by guest speaker, William DJ, a peer support worker, working in an Eating disorder Centre, who will discuss his own personal experiences and expertise.
Join us in the Student Life building in the campus courtyard for this free event, and if you have any concerns around eating disorders or mental health, LMHA will always be here to help
