Her Outdoors Try Sailing for Women

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership are delighted to partner up with DMYC for Her Outdoors Week .

Have you ever looked out to sea and wondered what it’s like to be out there on the water?

DLR Sports Partnership have joined with Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club to invite you for a sail around Dublin Bay. No previous experience needed, you will be shown exactly what to do by your Skippers.

This is the perfect way to enjoy the afternoon in the fresh air. After all that, we would like to invite you back to the DMYC Clubhouse to join us for tea, coffee and cakes. Lifejackets will be provided.

We are offering Women the chance to try both keelboat and dinghy sailing. Dinghies are fun but smaller, there is more of a chance of getting wet and ending up in the water, so we would recommend bringing a wetsuit if you wanted to try them out.

Time: 1.30pm

Duration: 2.5 hours sailing approximately

Over 18's only

Bring: Waterproof coat and trousers, extra layers as it’s always colder out at sea, trainers that you don’t mind getting wet. Full change of clothes if you are trying the dinghies.
