Gran Fondo Ireland Sligo 2024 takes place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024

Event Description:

Gran Fondo Ireland is a part of the 2024 UCI Gran Fondo Series. The event will take place on the 29th & 30th June 2024, with 4 events spread over 2 days.

The event offers 3 different routes: the Gran Fondo(155km), the Medium Fondo (110km) and the Sportive (85km). If you wish to enter a qualifying event for the World Championships, depending on your gender and age, please select from the following table. If you wish to have a more leisurely day, please select the Gran Fondo Leisure, Medium Fondo Leisure or the Sportive.

Day 1 – Time Trial         

A Limited Competition Licence is a Cycling Ireland requirement.

If you don't have one, please select either the Non-member or Leisure option, where you can purchase a Cycling Ireland Event Licence. €20 for a Non-Member, €10 for a Leisure Licence holder.

International Riders.

You can purchase a Cycling Ireland Event Licence for €20.

Day 2 – Gran Fondo Medium Fondo Sportive

A Leisure Licence is a Cycling Ireland requirement. If you don't have one, you can purchase a Cycling Ireland Event Licence for €20.

International Riders.

You can purchase a Cycling Ireland Event Licence for €20.

Event License

If an Event Licence is required, it will cover the individual for the weekend events.

Chip Timing     

All participants taking part in the Time Trial will require a chip-timing transponder. The transponder is free to use, but a €50 deposit is required and will be added to your ticket during the online ticketing process. After the event and when the chip has been returned, the deposit will be returned to your account within 10 working days.
