Storming The Castle Kids Fun Run and STC Junior Race 2026

Chase the Knight Kids Fun Run is open for 4-9 year olds.

Time - 12 noon 

Distance 1km

STC Junior Race is open for 10-14 year olds.

Time - 12:45pm 

Distance - 2Km

Location: Carrickfergus Amphitheatre - meet at the Park Run Start Sign

Entry Fee - £4

Every participant will receive a medal, a bottle of water and a hot dog in Shaftesbury Park from 2pm.

This registration must be completed by the parent or guardian of the participant.

Supervison: Seapark AC will have marshals around the course to oversee the race event. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure supervison of each participant before and after the race.

One parent / guardian per child can run in the Chase the Knight Race ONLY.

SAFETY BRIEF: Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the race starts. It is important to listen carefully to the safety brief before the race starts.

Race Numbers: Can be collected from the Amphitheatre Leisure Centre, Prince William Way, Carrickfergus BT38 7HP in advance on Saturday 22nd August between 8.30am and 11.30am or on race day from 10am to 11.45pm SHARP - please arrive in good time to collect your race number.  There will be a hard stop at 11.45am to ensure the first race starts at 12 noon.

First Aid: This will be provided by St John Ambulance

Media Consent:  Photographs and video may be taken and used during these events and posted on the Storming The Castle digital platforms and issued to local press.
