Colm Horkan Memorial Run 2026

East Mayo AC are delighted to welcome you to Charlestown on Sunday, May 17th for the Colm Horkan Memorial Run. This special event offers three race distances — a Half Marathon, 10km and 5km — all set on fast, flat routes that are perfect whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply enjoying the day.

Race Start Times
Half Marathon: 9:00am
5km: 9:05am
10km: 9:30am

Event Details
This event is run under an Athletics Ireland permit/licence, so please ensure you follow the official race age limits for each distance and the designated start waves for the 5km race.

A 42K commemorative t-shirt is available to purchase with every entry.

Participants aged 12 or younger must be with their parent/guardian at all times. No prizes or chip timing for those aged 12 or younger.

Virtual Tickets allow you to get the event t-shirt even if you are not able to participate on the day.

If you choose this option, make sure you add the t-shirt and select your preferred size before checking out.

Race Packs
Race numbers and t-shirts will be posted in advance, so please make sure to provide the correct Eircode when registering.
Please note: Entries received after May 1st will have their t-shirt posted after the race.

After the Race
All participants and stewards are warmly invited to join us afterwards for post-race refreshments and prize giving at the CBD Complex, Charlestown GAA Club. Refreshments are kindly sponsored by Supermac’s and our main club sponsors Hegarty’s Centra, ensuring a great atmosphere to celebrate the day together.

Final Information
Full race day details will be emailed to all participants a few days before the event and will also be
shared across our social media channels.

Please note that the board of Athletics Ireland has established the requirement for all non-Athletics Ireland registered runners to purchase a One Day Licence (2 euro) during the registration process.
