63rd Liffey Descent May 11th

This iconic race course consists of 10 weirs and one portage around Leixlip dam. The 30km course begins at the famous K Club in County Kildare and finishes close to Dublin City itseld, at the Garda Boat Club in Islandbridge.

A vaild membership is required for entry if you are not a member a day licence can be purchased and the end of this booking process.

All paddlers must be of the correct skill level to take part in this race.

It's advised that you are at the level 3 standard or signed off by a qualified instructor.

All boats must have internal  flotation

K  = Kayak

Open = open boats ie Canadian Canoes

A morning bus will go to the Garda boat club at 9.45 am on Saturday morning.

Bib collection will occur at the Garda Boat Club from 5 pm-8 pm on Friday the 10th. You must bring your Pfd/buoyancy aid for the timing chip to be fitted

The race Starts in the K club at 12 midday

The minimum age for the junior section is 16 years.
