The Cycling Ireland Women’s Commission will host a women’s road racing skills training day on March 4th at the Newgrange Hotel, Co. Meath. 

 

The day is aimed at both experienced riders aiming to brush up on their road racing skills as well as beginner riders who are looking to get into racing – riders must be at least 16 years old to participate.

 

Riders will take part in a training spin around the Navan circuit – where there’s a women’s race the following day – and will include lunch and talks with Paracycling world champion Eve McCrystal and Olympic medalist Annalise Murphy.

 

Location - Newgrange Hotel, Navan 

9.00am - Sign on 

9.30am - 80km - 100km spin to include skills and drills of racing on the road. Spin will take place on Seamus Kennedy Memorial race route. 

13.00 - Lunch 

14.00 - Key Note speakers Eve McCrystal and Annalise Murphy - Hear from Paralympic and Olympic medallists on race tactics/preparation/nutrition tips/training/mindfullness/reslience.
